4 December 2009 : Another Shopping Day

Was out with Carrie to do some X'mas shopping. She treated me to lunch at The Ship (Shaw Centre) which I've never been before. It was supposedly around for a long time, sthg like Shashlik at Far East Shopping Centre, where the staff are mostly a little bit more "mature". Food is not bad. Our first stop was Gap where we spent an hour buying gifts & of cos buying stuff for our little princesses. I can't help but to get these two pair of shoes for Kimmie even though the smallest size is still big for her. Don't you think they look so pretty? Def sthg that mommy would even get for herself if they were available for adults. Guess what? These are selling at USD26.50 online whereas I paid SGD27 for it, what a steal!! :)

Our next long stop was at Salvatore Ferragamo @ Taka cos additional 10% off for Taka cardholders! Carrie bought me a pair of beautiful grey Varina flats which I simple adore. (They were meant to be my birthday cum X'mas pressie). They are so comfortable that I own a few pairs in different colours. I also bought a pair of heels in turquoise. Not so sure whether I'll wear it often but it's a classic design & nice colour. Who knows, maybe I'll sell them online. Am trying to sell some of my items to clear space, but obviously haven't got the chance to do it... :p

21 November 2009 : A Busy Saturday

Avana invited a couple of their customers for a private luncheon cum fashion show at their shop at Pacific Plaza. Guess who I met there - Oliver's mum! Think she introduced herself as Meilya. Told her that I'm planning to change Kimmie to the Tue/Thurs 9a.m. class next term. She told me her family would be moving back to Jakarta next year. She also told me the teachers at Julia Gabriel Jakarta are not as good as the ones here. I bought 2 cocktail dresses. One's from Sue Wong. Can't remember the other label though as I've sent both for minor alterations. I've been a fan of Sue Wong dresses for a while now. She always carries dresses in unique styles & fabrics but yet affordable prices. This is the picture of the Sue Wong dress I bought. Mine's in white though. I always wanted a dress with some feather trimmings. It looks so elegant yet flirty.. :)

Went with Noah to his boss' house for the annual year-end gathering - the Italian style. Love the food as usual, it's from Oso. En was laughing at me for always re-introducing myself to some of Noah's colleagues whom I've met several times before. But truth is, I really forgot their names. I'm sure they forgot mine too. :) Even if you were to ask me now, I still can't remember... :p It was good catching up with the rest. Think we are planning a X'mas brunch together.

20 November 2009 : End of Term

Today is the last day of the term @ Playnest Julia Gabriel. Time flies & it has already been 10 wks since Kimmie first started playschool. She really enjoys the class a lot & the teachers there are very nice too. Think 1.5 hr class is ideal cos there's a fair mix of activities e.g. interaction, story-telling, singing, craftwork, snack time, playtime (water play/sand play/playground). Kimmie esp enjoys singing, snack time & playtime. It's also a pre-Christmas celebration for the kids. Shirlene lent Kimmie a Santarina outfit which Sarah used to wear.

13 November 2009 : Another Conquest... Not By Me Though..

Went with Carrie to see Angela as apparently she has new stuff.. :) It is really interesting what Angela is doing - trading in luxury watches & handbags. Isn't that a girl's dream job?? :) In the end, Carrie bought a Hermès Birkin 30cm Gold in Togo. I think it's a good buy for a first birkin as the colour is very neutral and easy to match with clothes. Saw a 30cm blue croco Birkin in her shop. Simply gorgeous!! Think Noah will kill me if I bought it... Anyways told Angela for to keep a lookout for brighter colours for me... :p Also told Angela to keep a lookout for a used Patek Philippe Calatrava Travel Time in rose gold. I've been looking for a rose gold watch for a while & I thought a Patek would be a good buy. I like the dial too cos I'm not that into plain dials.

11 November 2009 : My Birthday

Noah took leave for the week to spend time together with Kimmie. He'll be bringing Kimmie to Julia Gabriel. We went to Polliwogs at East Coast in the morning. It was the first time we brought her to an indoor playground. We were there for approx 40 minutes as it clashes with Kimmie's nap time. At least the place was big enough to for her to crawl around. It was also a good place to hold her birthday party.

At Julia Gabriel today, they are also celebrating Oliver's 1st BD. His mum brought a cake, balloons & party hats to school. Oliver probably likes Pooh cos the cake and the party supplies are all Pooh. Hmmm... makes me wonder what's Kimmie's fav cartoon character. Guess she likes Minnie Mouse. She's not so into Barney & she enjoys watching Hi-5 sing.

After her class in the afternoon, we popped by Go Go Bambini at Dempsey Hill to check out the venue. I find the place too dark and a little claustrophobic. Anyways, they do not have an area for little crawlers so this place is out.

7 November 2009 : Clarissa's 1st BD

Brought Kimberly to attend a Uni-mate's daughter's BD party at YMCA Stevens Road. Her daughter Clarissa is so adorable in her ladybug outfit. Kimmie obviously refused to put on her lamb outfit which I bought online for her http://www.buycostumes.com for Halloween. George was there too with 4 mth old Leanne. It was fun to watch the kids play with one another. :) That reminds me that I've got to start planning for Kimmie's 1st BD party coming soon in January.

5 November 2009 : Pre-BD Dinner @ Yoyogi

Carrie treated me to dinner at Yoyogi (Mhd Sultan). As usual, we ordered our rounds of sake and talked nonsense. Again, Edwin decides on what to order. Of cos, I've to eat a few rounds of my fav Kobe beef sushi. Mark joined us together with Lawrence and Maderline. It was a fun nite & I was a little high. I even got up at 4am just to puke... :p
